… worn Business Analysis, IT Consultancy, Account Management, Project Management, Development Management, Quality Assurance, Service Management and Line Management hats … within the finance, assurance, retail, energy, telecommunications, property and IT services industry sectors … positioned on-shore and off-shore … being both the customer and the supplier … who contributed to business strategy, enterprise architecture, bespoke development and package implementation projects … that utilized a mix of waterfall, rapid and agile life-cycles … supported by a variety of structured, object-oriented, service management methodologies … and delivered alongside many bright people, from varied cultures around the globe … New Zealanders, Australians, South Africans, Zimbabweans, Indians, Romanians, Greeks, Germans French, Spanish, English, Scottish, Welsh, Canadians and Americans … each of whom have taught me something valuable that remains with me today…
Throughout all this variety two constants shone through: my straight forward approach of thinking from situation through possibility to outcome and my ability to interact well with people. No matter my job title, my heart is pure business analysis. It is this passion that has been the catalyst for many of the mentoring relationships I have been privileged to be involved in.
